About the Book

A step-by-step guide containing legal and commercial information to enable start-ups, innovators and inventors to successfully launch their businesses - what to do and where to find resources - protection of intellectual property rights - difference between licensing and assigning intellectual property rights – raising finance - the essential aspects of negotiations with third parties - best routes when considering manufacturing and distribution.

This publication has been written as a corollary to my legal practice and the legal packages my firm would be able to offer readers. The guidance and advice found in the book is intended to ‘stand alone’ and also act as an ‘aide memoir’ for inventors, entrepreneurs and anyone seriously contemplating launching a business. In addition, the information contained is designed to enhance the legal services my own legal firm offers. Thus readers gain a unique perspective on the legal issues surrounding a successful business start-up, in an interesting, informative book of about 80 pages in 12 easy to refer chapters. The text is illustrated with full-colour headings, images and diagrams, as appropriate to clarify subject issues and make reading more interesting. The entire manuscript will be completed early 2007.
